The Olney Way to Run introduces its ‘Learn to Love Running Couch to 5k Programme!’
Have you ever wondered why it is that people ACTUALLY enjoy running? Why they go out in all weathers dressed in lycra to basically get cold and wet? And why they choose to get up and do a parkrun when they could stay in bed?
We fully understand that for many running is quite literally a step too far where exercise is concerned. However, we believe that we can convert even the most determined run hater with our ‘Learn to Love Running C2-5k Programme!’
C2-5k has played an integral role in the running revolution that has taken the country by storm over the past few years and our Coaches have been had the privilege of being a part of this phenomenon and as such, are passionate about continuing to convert as many people as possible to a life in Lycra!
Both myself and my husband (who I have never known to run) joined the program and we enjoyed the weekly sessions and also the homework sessions. We both found that we really enjoyed it and I got my confidence back and started to enjoy running again. The C2-5k program is brilliant and a lot of the volunteers that help with the training have also come through the program and so are really encouraging. I intend to volunteer to help with this year’s programme, so hope to see you there
“I was your typical stay at home mummy, shy, with low self-esteem and a self-confessed couch potato. The C2-5k and then joining The Olney Way to Run literally changed my life, I feel like a new person and I now LOVE to run (yes, I can't believe I’m saying that either, but it's true!!) and to top it off I have made some truly amazing friends along the way. In 2017 I was an overweight, unfit lady with a replacement hip. With the encouragement of two very good friends I enrolled on the C25k course. It was one of the best things I have ever done as I am now slimmer and fitter than I have ever been. But best of all was the brilliant support of the coaches, volunteers and the other C25k members and we are still supporting each other running 10k+ now. I’d recommend this fabulous programme to anyone!
